- Five more sleeps and then we will be heading to the pebble beaches of Nice. We are madly trying to ready the house for Bernhardt, the French man who will be trading his Nice apartment with our house in Richmond. Never having done this before, we are a little confused, but I'm sure we will have thought of every little detail before we take off for Europe. Why? I am anal and type A and packed three weeks ago. Les, on the other hand, feels that readying our house for a visitor means making him a bike rack and a bread board. I don't really understand this, but I am going with it because it's so bizarre and funny that, really, how can you not? He is also busy watering every blade of grass individually and our water meter is higher than the local drug addicts. Our yard is very green, and, you know, each to his own. Les actually made me help him cut the grass today and I had to take the odd? (twelve) rest break. We are looking forward to drinking copious amounts of wine of every region we visit. In fact, we are busy practicing how to drink wine right at this very moment, so that we don't have to do a lot of training when we get to France. Only five more sleeps and then off we Zoom.

Aha! I didn't realize you hadn't left yet!! Plenty of time to learn to upload pictures to your bloggy :D When you do your next entry, move your mouse over the little picture icons in your blog toolbar and one of them will be "Upload Picture"... click that and follow the instructions. The two tips I can give you for that is:
1) Make sure the pictures you want to upload are on your computer (much easier to find them that way)
2) Once you have clicked "Done", the picture(s) will show up at the top of your entry for the day... if you want to move them elsewhere in the entry, you will have to copy the coding at the top of the blog entry and paste it to where you want it to actually be... then remember to delete it from the top so the picture doesn't show up twice :)
That's it... easy, peasy!!
Hahahaha... I'm sitting here in my West End apartment on this gorgeous sunny morning, chortling away at the vision of Les making a bread board for the Frenchman! I would never have thought -- Frenchman -- wine/bread/cheese -- bread board!!
For the Patty touch... why not leave a lovely arrangement of condoms in the shape of an animal... like the cruise ship stewards do with towels on one's bed? After all... isn't the real reputation suppose to be Frenchman -- romance and fabulous lover -- safe sex?? (grin)
Cheryl
I knew I shouldn't have sent you a link. Hahaha
Lovely and witty--not as good as another blog about France that I know of, but it will do. Can't wait till you ZOOM over to me! Love you!!!!
